The lyrics are supposed to be from the perspective of a wall watching a family crumble. It was written on my birthday Jan.14.

Lyrcially this song is meant to be ironic. Insulting the fact that i am egocentric and don't wanna be.

about

This album was recorded throughout various periods of 2009 while I was interning at The Masters Sound Studio under Michael Lloyd. Michael believed that the best way to learn recording engineering was to allow the student to have full access to a studio, alone and let them sort the problems out themselves. (or an emergency speakerphone conversation if needed)

Between recording other clients I would work on this record. Sometimes all day, sometimes for 20 minutes between sessions.

At the time my personal life was struggling quite a bit. Between deaths in the family, being stuck in abusive relationship and watching the two projects i'd poured my soul into "Carving Jennifer" and "Anchors For Reality" slowly dissolve. I was left to make this record.

At the time of this record I did approx 30 shows in the Midwest as "Flux Capacitor" I was going to release a series of records called VS. The first was titled "The Mountain." Referring to the mountain of advisory in front of me, that only music could cure.

This record is half spoken word poetry/ half onemanband songs that I wrote from drum beats created by my good friend "Crash Sunday."

I did alot of exploration with sampling on this record.
Including:

Final Fantasy 3 interlude
Mr.Rogers Theme Song
Doug Theme Song

This record always marks my first dabbles with using children's toys as instruments. As well as a great deal of reverb manipulation and post production.

All and all i'm reasonable happy with the outcome of this album. There are a couple of rookie engineering mistakes such wave forms that end abruptly. A couple of the tracks are instrumental, because I never got to vocal portion.

But here you have it "Flux Capacitor VS The Mountain"
